Woody Wednesday 9th August 2017- Summer Camp day 12
Woody WednesdayπΏπ³π²ππ
What a day it's been...a drizzly morning turned into an afternoon of glorious sunshine! My new shelter arrived- wow it's big and thanks to my folks and Uncle Arthur, helped by Autumn they erected it in no time. It's just perfect for the campfire and circle time. Let's see how it handles the rain?!?

We had a lot of littlies today, our youngest member of the tribe being just 2 and halfπ! After the usual formalities of FS we started with a few games inside and then prepared our camp fire snack for later. Deborah arrived and the little ones started their yoga first while the older ones created some woodland faces made from large sliced tree branches. The results were really fab ( another Pinterest successππ) then some larger slices were turned into 'noughts and crosses' boards with the playing pieces being pebbles painted with opposing insect designs on. I've got to say these looked brill and turned out better than expected..then the kids got to play against each other!

We had lunch under our new shelter and played a spot of 'bug bingo' another new hit...find all four insects on your card to win!
The afternoon the oldies partook in the last yoga session of the week while the little ones created their fab wooden crafts as well as making some sun catchers. We all then headed outside to restore the villages of the 'little People' who live in the Foxlowe gardens, sadly the recent downpours had destroyed their homes and playgrounds.

To our surprise, later on we were rewarded with pixie potions to thank us (we think?) for our kindness and to fill up and create magical delights that would give us all wierd and wonderful super powersπππΌππ‘⚗️the day ended with campfire cooking, the sun on our backs and 's'mores' in our bellies.
Another great day taking in nature, thinking about our surroundings, showing empathy for the 'little people', using our imaginations, being mindful, relaxing and re-charging, being creative to construct, showing team work & making new pals. You can't put a grade/number/level on THAT!!!!π€
